April 2006 Team Training ~ Featuring UMASS Life Flight

The April 2006 CMSART Team Training focused on the victim discovery, scene and patient assessment, patient packaging, carry-outs and a presentation by UMASS Life Flight. Of course, Life Flight "stole" the show! From the time we heard the aircraft approaching to the time vanished into the sky at departure, the excitement was easily read upon the faces of all of us. Besides all the excitement, we learned a great deal about the UMASS Life Flight program, the aircraft itself and especially landing zone considerations and preparation. In this exercise, CMSART established the Landing Zone, provided the LAT-LON coordinates and our operating frequencies to Life Flight and secured the Landing Zone during the arrival and departure of the aircraft.
